Vankaya Matar curry

This one is very common in marriages and functions.I tasted it in one of the functions and was awwed by the taste.It made me more curious to know about this recipe and try it out. It has an awesome flavor to it. Nice mixture of garlic-jeera-coriander-green chilies occasionally coconut makes it more and more awesome. For this buy tender brinjals (green purple white kuch bhi chalega) !. For more effect add ginger too. I didn’t add :-) . So here is the awesome recipe

INGREDIENTS :-
Brinjals :- tender ones (1/2 kilo, chop them longitudinally )
Matar :- a cup
Oil :- 5-6 teaspoons
Coriander :- a bunch
Green chilies :- 3-4 adjust
Garlic pods :- 4-5
Salt :-a s required
Turmeric :- a pinch
Jeera :- 2-3 teaspoons
For tempering/Tadka :-
Jeera :- a teaspoon
Mustard seeds :- teaspoon
Urad dal :- teaspoon
Chana dal :- teaspoon
Curry leaves :- crushed 4,5
METHOD :-
  1. Take a pan heat oil add all the tempering and allow them to splutter.
  2. Add chopped brinjals, matar, add salt and turmeric .
  3. Grind together garlic-green chilies-coriander-jeera together into coarse paste.
  4. Close the lid and cook it.
  5. Occasionally stir it with a ladle.
  6. Cook till brinjals and matar are cooked nicely.
