filter coffee

I am not sure how many people will laugh at this post. Its soooo common in Andhra , Tamil Nadu etc etc etc, but we are slowly loosing the beauty of filter coffee and shifting to instant ones :D . Not that I am against any one of it. In-fact I drink instant coffee very frequently, but the culture, the magnificence of filter coffee shouldn’t vanish was my intention behind this post :-) . I’ve seen my grand ma and mommy making it. The aroma of coffee used to fill the entiiiire home when they made it. Such is the richness of this splendid not drink. So for making filter coffee you need coffee filter like that of 1st image. It has two divisions . One for adding powder and water and other for collecting the decoction. The residue is filtered in the first division itself.  The making of filter coffee  is very simple.

INGREDIENTS :-
Coffee powder(not the instant one) :- 2 -3 teaspoons
Water :- 2-3 cups
Sugar :-a s required
Milk:- as required
METHOD :-
  1. Add the coffee powder into fist division of coffee filter as shown in second image.
  2. Boil water and add it while it is sizzling into the first division of coffee filter. You can see bubbles coming.
  3. Close the lid and leave aside for 10 min or so till all the coffee powder slowly diffuses into water and entiire water is collected in the second division. Throw out the residue in the first division
  4. Take the decoction, mix it with enough amount of milk and sugar bring it to boil and pour it sizzling hot in cups.
  5. Enjoy the nice aroma, richness and taste of filter coffee :-)
