Garlic chutney
This one goes nice with dosas and upma. Its very easy to make and yeah spice factor depends upon the level of chillies you add. I added moderate amount . There are many many versions to this chutney. Some add sesame seeds , some add grated coconut. I added ground nuts. Here is the recipe
INGREDIENTS :-
Peanuts :- a cup
Garlic pods :- 12-14
Tomato :- 1 big (chopped)
Onion :- 1 big (chopped)
Tamarind :- a small ball
Salt :- as required
Oil :- 1 teaspoon
Dry Chillies :- 3-4(Adjust)
METHOD :-
- Heat oil in a pan add garlic pods and fry them until light brown add dry chillies and fry them for a minute.
- Add tomato pieces and onion pieces and allow them to cook till onions turn transparent
- Dry roast peanuts and remove the outer layer.
- Now in a grinder add all the above fried ingredients, add tamarind extract and salt and grind into smooth paste
