Burnt Ginger Fried Rice
This we made it on Sunday. Hubby dear and me cooked it together. It came out really really nice. I never knew burnt ginger would add soooo much flavor into the dish. Nice and simple recipe it is!!
INGREDIENTS :-
Ginger :- small piece (about 20 gms)
Beans :- a cup
Carrot :- a cup
Pepper powder :- ground fresh ( 2 teaspoons)
Olive oil :- 1 teaspoon
Salt :- as required
Spring onions :- a cup
Corn :- a cup
Rice :- 3 cups
Keya chinese seasoning(optional) :- a little
METHOD :-
- Heat olive oil and add finely chopped ginger pieces and allow it to fry . Let them turn brownish and crisp like just before they burn.
- Wash rice well and for every one cup rice add 1.5 cups water.
- Add beans ,carrots, salt ,cup ,pepper powder and mix well. Add chinese seasoning.
- Meawhile the ginger pieces burn . Add this along with the oil to the rice and mix well.
- Pressure cook it for 3 whistles.
- Top it up with chopped spring onion
