Beetroot mocktail


I first drank basic version of this when I wasn’t keeping well. Now that I am keeping well , I refined it  a bit  :) , yet didn’t change the original recipe so that all its “healthy components” are kept intact. Here is the recipe.

INGREDIENTS :-
Beetroot :- 1 big(chopped finely)
Kharjur /dates :- 4-5
Kismis :- 4-5
Mint leaves :- 2-3
Elaichi powder/cardamom powder :- 1 pinch
METHOD :-
  1. Boil de-seeded kharjur and kismis for 10 minutes in clean water and add them into grinder along with beetroot pieces (do not discard water add it to the grinder). Filter out pulp and  chill it. Sprinkle cardamom powder and have it.
  2. Do not add extra sugar, add more dates if you need it more sweet.You can add honey too.
  3. Other variation would be adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream or dash of soda :)
