Tomato perugu pachadi ( Tomato-curd-chutney)
We have the habit of eating rotis/chapathis in dinner every day. Usually I make curry for chapathis freshly in the night. Sometimes I come home late from office….and tired too . There comes my savior tomato perugu pachadi !!!! It is the quickest recipe I make when I am tired coming home from office. It’s easy and delicious
INGREDIENTS:-
Tomatoes: – 2 cup (chopped into pieces)
Chilies: – 3-4 chopped into small pieces)
Coriander :- 1 bunch
Oil: – 2-3 teaspoons
Salt: – as required
Turmeric: – a pinch
Curd: – 2 cups
For popu/Tadka/seasoning:-
Chana dal/Bengal gram: – a teaspoon
Urad dal/Black gram: – teaspoon
Jeera: ½ teaspoon
Mustard seeds: ½ teaspoon
Curry leaves :- 4-5 crushed
METHOD:-
- In a pan add oil and add the tadka and allow them to splutter.
- Add tomato pieces and salt and close the lid and allow it to cook
- Grind together coriander, green chillies and them to the curd.
- Add turmeric to the curd mix well and keep aside.
- Add cooked tomato and mix well. Adjust salt
